Plaintiff alleges that since the 1990s, German automakers Volkswagen, Daimler and BMW formed a cartel and cooperated in secrecy. Plaintiff alleges that the automakers colluded to fix prices of a diesel emission treatment and different vehicle components. Applicant seeks financial compensation for the damages suffered as a result of the automakers’ anti-competitive and unlawful activities;

Proposed Class

All persons, entities, partnerships or organizations resident in Canada who purchased and/or leased one or more of the Defendants’ Vehicles that were part of the German Car Cartel formed by Volkswagen, Daimler et BMW.

Remedies sought for consumers

Compensatory damages for class members in amounts to be determined.
