Education and experience

Justine joined Renno Vathilakis as an associate in November 2019, focusing her practice primarily on family law. She represents clients in a wide range of matters, including divorce, custody disputes, child and spousal support, and the partition of assets. In addition to her family law practice, she has experience in civil and commercial litigation, allowing her to provide strategic solutions in complex legal disputes.
 
Justine regularly appears before all levels of court in Quebec, including the Quebec Court of Appeal; and has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada. Her ability to analyze intricate legal issues and craft compelling arguments makes her a strong advocate for her clients.
 
Justine obtained her Licentiate in Law (LL.L., cum laude) from the University of Ottawa and spent her final semester at the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium. She was called to the Quebec Bar in 2017 and also holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Montreal. That same year, she successfully completed the Law Society of Ontario’s professional examinations.Beyond her legal practice, Justine has served as a factum judge for the Laskin Moot Court Competition since 2020, evaluating written submissions from law students across Canada.
 
Fluent in both English and French, Justine is a member of the Association des avocats et avocates en droit familial du Québec and the Young Bar Association of Montreal.
